I want to do a series of pieces with shoes and gender identification, so if you can, take a photo of you wearing your favorite shoes (just your feet is fine - I am not good enough to do full body portraits nor is that my focus for this), upload it, and link me with what gender identification you feel most comfortable with. A simple caption is fine, so is a small paragraph.

Alternatives: It could be shoes you think suit your part of the gender spectrum. Or it could be about how the shoes aren't what you think suit your gender identification, but you like them anyways. The whys would be nice, but you don't need to explain yourself if you don't want to.

The point is I'd like to have a narrative of the gender spectrum through the shoes we wear.

I'll leave this post for submission, all the comments are screened. If you don't mind them unscreened or you'd prefer if yours isn't screened, make a note and I'll unscreen it. The screening is mostly just for respect of privacy/comfort.

Edit: Straight on image from the floor is preferable, so I can see most of the shoes. Socks are fine, pants/skirts are fine as long as they're not covering up the whole point of this exercise.

I graduate with my Bachelor of Science in Comprehensive Biology in about 7.5 hours. 9 AM.

There isn't enough hours in the day to read everything I want to.

I'm in the midst of reading biochem right now, but I've been getting bombarded with all sorts of writing inspiration when something occurred to me.

I don't know how many of you read my Nano from 2009 (You can find what I did post of it here at to_nowhere if you're curious, but I have them locked to community watchers only because I was potentially posting boysmut), but I never did post the whole monster it was in all its confusing Nano-never-rewritten glory. I don't know if more than a few of you liked them! But I figured I'd offer something weird:

If you want to read the entire monster, I'll post it on google docs. You can make little notations to me if you want to, but it's mostly reading access. If you're willing to beat me left and right as an editor, you're more than welcome to. This is just so you guys can see everything that went into the project if you're that curious. But if I'm not getting any interest, I'll just leave it stashed in my documents folder where it is.


PS: I'm prooobably going to do something Script Frenzy-ish sometime this summer, just that April is completely not good for me to do it in. I'm also going to do Nano this year because THESE IDEAS WON'T STOP! sigh.

Okay. In general I am pretty cool about old people being able to drive themselves places and maintaining their independence. I am so all for that because I'm so gonna end up at that point sooner or later.

This does not excuse trying to get on the goddamn highway at 35-40 mph. No. Absolutely not. You are an utter danger to everyone around you at that speed on a freaking highway.

I was up until dawn finishing this evolution assignment. :| But hey, the bright end of the tunnel is that I have a week free! Yay, right?

I look ahead. Next Wednesday is my Evolution test. Then another week break, sort of, because the week after that has Biochem 2 and Immunology testing me again.

Ah well, at least I get breaks inbetween. :|a

For anyone who's ever been curious about blood donation, I did a sort of summary of what happens. I can't guarantee full accuracy of details, but the general process is what happens.
